Parent Issue Resolution Policy
At Meridian Charter Schools, we prioritize resolving your concerns promptly and effectively, starting with addressing the issue at its source. By beginning with the source, we aim to foster open dialogue and find effective solutions that benefit everyone involved. Initially, we encourage you to discuss the matter directly with the person most closely involved, whether it’s a teacher, staff member, or fellow community member.
This direct communication with the source often leads to a quick and positive resolution, ensuring the best experience for students, parents, guardians, and community members.
If the issue remains unresolved at the source, we will then gather additional information and involve relevant parties, including administrators and the Chief Education Officer, to develop a comprehensive understanding of the situation. This process is provided to ensure that your concern is addressed in a timely manner and is properly documented to ensure clear communication.
A parent, guardian, or community member may follow the below levels of communication verbally or in writing.
We thank you for your support as we prepare graduates to become agents of change and foster schools where everyone belongs, excels, and contributes.
Levels of Communication to Addressing Concerns

Communicate with the Principal if unable to resolve your issue after speaking with the Dean or Assistant Principal. This may involve incidents surrounding the breach of a school policy.
Communicate with the Chief Education Officer if unable to resolve your issue after speaking with the Principal. This may involve issues of abuse and neglect (DCFS Investigation) and investigations of bullying (in accordance with CPS Student Code of Conduct and Policy).
